Leo reflecting on a fired stoneware form in the studio

Unreal Ceramics is the studio moniker of artist and product designer Leo Wolff.
Following a prolific design career, spanning two decades, across digital and physical product design. From Freehand and Figma, to fine furniture, ceramics was an inevitable and fluid evolution. Moving from the ethereal into ever more eternal form. A natural expansion of an already interdisciplinary foundation.
The work is driven by an innate curiosity of the liminal space, and tension, between inspiration and reality. Favouring the personal and human perspective over society's increasingly rabid appetite for fake and fast – things devoid of human touch and emotion.
In a world so consumed with the reactive surface sheen, the subtle is often overlooked, in favour of what our external senses pick up.
Unreal vessels invite the experiencer to not only become mesmerised by the objective form, but more importantly, to slow down long enough to perceive the subjective truth, passion and inspiration imbued in each piece.
